Kaelis and Uzbekistan Airways introduce Economy class tableware collection

Uzbekistan Airways, in collaboration with Kaelis, has introduced a new Economy class tableware collection with a new bowl concept at its heart.

The centrepiece of the collection, the transparent Briss Bowl “brings a new level of sophistication and practicality” to Economy travel.

The pair said the bowl “embodies the perfect balance between elegance and resilience” with a “smooth, rounded silhouette and crystal-clear surface” which allows meals to be presented beautifully “while stability ribs and stacking protrusions ensure ease of handling and storage during service”.

Designed for long-lasting use, the bowl withstands up to 250 washing cycles, maintaining its clarity and form across repeated inflight operations.

It has a distinctive frosted pattern, inspired by Uzbekistan’s cultural motifs, which was applied using advanced matting technology “subtly echoing the airline’s visual identity while adding tactile sophistication”.

Complementing the Briss Bowl are two additional Kaelis-designed pieces: The Muno Bowl, a square salad or dessert white glossy bowl with softly rounded contours that enhance usability and presentation, and The Tuan Main Plate, a sleek rectangular plate with smooth lines and a minimalist aesthetic, which is ideal for main course servings.

“Together, these pieces form a cohesive and lightweight modular system that simplifies crew service, optimises tray space, and elevates the passenger experience,” said the announcement.

“Their refined textures and clean lines evoke the feeling of dining in a contemporary restaurant— transforming a simple inflight meal into a pleasant, visually appealing experience.

“With this collaboration, Uzbekistan Airways and Kaelis reaffirm their shared vision: to merge innovation, cultural identity and sustainability in every detail of the passenger journey, setting a new standard for Economy class dining in the region.”
