Holland America Line has rolled out a series of festive menus for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year’s Eve.
Families on a Caribbean sailing aboard Signature- and Pinnacle Class prior or during Christmas can enjoy a Breakfast with Santa. The famous figure will make an appearance at the Pinnacle Grull or Tamarind restaurant after the meal has been served. Prices are $25 per adult and $15 per child aged 3-17 years old.
The Nutcracker Afternoon Tea Service will be available on select sea days through December. Highlights include a Grinch Truffle, a Santa Hat Cupcake and Reindeer Chocolate Tart.
Christmas Eve dinner in the dining room will feature international dishes, including those from Norway, Thailand, Spain and the Caribbean. The Canaletto, meanwhile, will serve Italian fare.
For Hanukkah, guests can opt for strawberry doughnuts; and freshly baked challah bread. A Thanksgiving feast will offer turkey with cranberries and sweet potatoes; and beef tenderloin with apple rösti.
New Year’s Eve celebrations kick off with a special dinner in the dining room. Alternatively, a special menu is available at Pinnacle Grill for $69 per person. The latter includes a crab tower with caviar; and sterling beef fillet with butter-basted lobster.
A party will commence on the ship’s Lido Deck, complete with canapes and sparkling toasts when the clock strikes midnight.
Speciality cocktails and non-alcoholic coffee drinks are also available. They are a Minty Elf Martini; Christmas Cocoa Mint Coffee; Rudolph the Red Margarita; and Vanilla Gingerbread Latte.
Michael Stendebach, Vice President of Food, Beverage and Rooms at Holland America Line, said: “Not only do our onboard dining experiences simplify holiday planning, but they provide a rich and diverse culinary journey with a touch of a tradition that encourage deeper connections with loved ones and makes it a special time onboard.”
