gategroup to showcase automation, data and creative menus at WTCE

Automation of the production process, the use of data and trend-led menus will be exhibited by catering giant gategroup in a dedicated hall at this year’s World Travel Catering and Onboard Services Expo (WTCE).

The company, which celebrates its 95th anniversary this year, is returning to the show by taking over Hall 2 of the Hamburg Messe.

Visitors to the three-day event can learn more about gatehorizon, the platform where gategroup brings “ideas, partners, and real operational needs into the same room, then turns them into solutions that can actually run at scale”.

“You will be able to explore a project showcase and meet the teams behind the work, including gateopex and our production methodology, often referred to as the gategroup production system,” said the company.

“It is a practical lens on how we improve flow, reduce friction, and build consistency into complex environments.”

Airline F&B professionals can also meet Blackswan, a data initiative helping gategroup improve planning by anticipating what passengers want in advance.

Each day at the show, gategroup will be creating menus built around a defining culinary trend and served at the Chef’s Table within a “high-end restaurant experience”.

Tuesday is Global Embrace, exploring the way people eat today, mixing influences and “moving comfortably between cuisines”.

Wednesday is Rooted in Real, leaning into heritage and comfort, with dishes inspired by regional favourites and ingredients that “feel seasonal and true to place”.

Thursday is Being Better, focusing on “cooking with intent, making choices that are better for the kitchen and the planet, without losing any pleasure on the plate”.
