Foodfolk Australia has opened its Melbourne catering operation. The caterer is now preparing to supply Philippine Airlines flights from both Perth and Melbourne.
The opening of the permanent Melbourne facility follows two years of operations in the city, which began through a partnership with Royal Brunei Airlines. The premises bring Foodfolk’s Melbourne team together under a single roof and provide the capacity to support existing customers and future growth.
Located in Tullamarine, the facility has been designed to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality inflight catering. It offers direct access to Melbourne Airport, allowing catering vehicles to reach airport security gates in under 10 minutes.
Another significant development lies ahead. Foodfolk will start catering services for Philippine Airlines in Perth on October 1 and in Melbourne a day later.
The facility reflects the company’s commitment to investing in the capability and infrastructure needed to support airline partners now and into the future, said Salim Hazife, CEO of Foodfolk Australia.
“Opening our Melbourne facility is an important step for our business and our people. It provides a strong foundation for the next stage of growth and allows us to better support our customers in a key aviation market,” he commented.
“We’re also pleased to be commencing our partnership with Philippine Airlines across Perth and Melbourne. It’s a significant opportunity for our team and one we’re looking forward to delivering,” continued Hazife.
