Five most popular inflight F&B items revealed by airBaltic

Latvian airline airBaltic is reporting growing demand for its inflight products during the first half of 2025 and has revealed the five most popular items during this period.

From its airCafe meal and drink selection, the most popular passenger choices were:

  • Croissant with ham
  • Wrap with salmon
  • Wrap burger filled with BBQ-infused pulled beef
  • Chicken panini
  • Sour cream and onion Pringles crisps.

During the same six months, the most popular retail items bought by passengers were Bugatti perfumes from both the men’s and women’s lines, the Aviator smartwatch and magic scratch notes.

The airline said approximately 20% of the F&B and retail products offered during the flight are made in Latvia, such as the freshly-brewed Rocket Bean coffee, Rudy’s Kombucha, LIDO biscuits and toffee, BIO2YOU cosmetics and Purenn stain remover.

Natālija Kuzmina, VP Customer Experience and Insights at airBaltic, said: “Our inflight experience is designed to be fully customisable, allowing passengers to tailor their journey to their individual preferences and needs whether they buy on board from a wide assortment of airCafe menu or make a pre-order.”

She said the airline also adds new seasonal items to vary the inflight offering and encourages passengers to pre-order and customise their meals during ticket purchase or through the Manage My Booking section for existing reservations.

At the point of ticket purchase, Economy Class passengers can customise up to five meal and five drink items to suit their individual preferences and dietary needs, while in Manage My Booking, they can choose from predefined sets.

A new concept in Manage My Booking is planned to be launched by the end of the year but no other details were shared.

Meanwhile, airBaltic continues the roll-out of Starlink internet. It has already equipped 13 of its Airbus A220-300 aircraft with this service, and the entire fleet is planned to be gradually fitted with it.
