Finnair has revealed a series of wellness options onboard and in its lounges.
The airline says it is continuing to see a growing demand for non-alcoholic drink options, so a number of Finnish-inspired recipes have been designed for travellers seeking a refreshing non-alcoholic alternative when travelling.
This month, Finnair’s non-alcoholic sparkling wine, made with cloudberries, will be upgraded to Poikain Parhaat‘s Aurora sparkling wine.
The airline also offers a range of wellness-focussed mocktails, which are changed twice a year and incorporate local lingonberries, cloudberries and blueberries.
Classic cocktails are available as non-alcoholic alternatives made from Seedlip spirits or 0% gin.
Due to increased demand, inflight offerings now include alcohol-free beer, Nocco energy drinks and fruit smoothies.
The airline’s Platinum Wing lounge at Helsinki Airport has a dedicated a la carte dining area, with a focus on fusing Finnish ingredients with Asian flavours.
Options include the ‘Reindeer Burger’, which is made from locally sourced smoked reindeer and beef. The plant-based alternative is ‘Beyond Burger’.
The lounge also offers a Finnish sauna with a cooling area, organic skin care amenities and natural mood lighting.
