Burrana has received U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) parts manufacturing approval for its Passenger Service Unit (PSU) Lanyard kits for Boeing 737 aircraft.
Supporting compliance with key Boeing and FAA safety directives, the kits comply with Boeing Special Attention Requirements Bulletin 737-25-1851, classified as an Enhanced Required-for-Compliance document. They position operators for the upcoming FAA Airworthiness Directive (AD) with docket number FAA-2025-0004 (Project Identifier AD-2024-00094-T).
The kits align with existing mandates under FAA AD 2021-26-17, addressing secondary lanyards for PSUs and life vest panels across the 737 Next Generation fleet.
Kits are available now with standard lead times of six months.
The installation of a secondary retention lanyard eliminates the risk of monitor detachment during hard landings. That’s a hazard which could result in passenger injury or impede cabin evacuation.
