FORMIA has been awarded an EcoVadis Bronze medal, recognising that the company is among the top 26% of the 150,000 companies assessed worldwide for sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
EcoVadis’ business sustainability ratings are based on international sustainability standards such as the 10 Principles of the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the ISO 26000 standard.
The assessment evaluates 21 sustainability criteria and the ratings provide an evidence-based analysis of performance and an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement.
“EcoVadis provides a globally trusted benchmark, and this milestone validates the real progress we’ve made in environmental sustainability, labour and human rights, ethical business practices, and sustainable procurement – while offering a clear path to go even further,” said Roland Grohmann, CEO and Managing Partner at FORMIA.
At the 2025 World Travel Catering and Onboard Services Expo (WTCE), FORMIA’s Sustainability Zone showcased the full product lifecycle through a tactile, multi-sensory experience.
Bridging concept with reality, the zone inspired discussions with airlines on actions to reduce environmental impact and demonstrated how innovation can drive positive action.
It highlighted circularity-as-a-service, a framework designed to support airline partners to embed circular approaches into their amenity and comfort programmes. It aims to reduce waste, recover value and promote transitioning away from linear consumption.
