deSter joins UN Global Compact

deSter has announced that it has joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative — a voluntary leadership platform for development, implementation and disclosure of responsible business practices.

With this announcement, deSter joins thousands of other companies globally that are committed to taking responsible business action to create the world we all want.

“Joining the United Nations Global Compact is a significant milestone for deSter and reinforces our commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices,” said Stef Van de Perre, President and Managing Director of deSter.

“By aligning with the UN’s ten principles, we are not only doing our part to create a better world, but also positioning ourselves as a leader in our industry. We are thrilled to be part of this esteemed network and look forward to continuing our journey towards a more sustainable future.”

The UN Global Compact is a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 15,000 companies and 3,800 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries, and more than 69 Local Networks.
