British Airways’ first aircraft equipped with Starlink-powered connectivity, a Boeing 787-8, is now operational following a flight between London Heathrow and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas.
It offers passengers access to fast, reliable internet for streaming, working and staying connected.
Powered by more than 10,000 satellites in low-Earth orbit (LEO), Starlink delivers a fast internet experience with download speeds of more than 500 Mbps.
Passengers are able to connect on multiple devices to work, browse and shop.
The British flag carrier is in the process of fitting Starlink onto its 787-8 fleet. Within the next two years, the entire British Airways fleet of more than 300 aircraft will have Starlink technology.
The connectivity will be available for all passengers, in all cabins, free of charge.
