Bamboo Airways has extended its catering services agreement with Frankfurt-based GIC International Catering for a further two years. The new agreement becomes effective from June 1 2023.
The signing of the new contract took place during a ceremony in Germany. Senior representatives from Bamboo Airways were present at the event, including Nguyen Thi Huyen Anh, Inflight Services Manager; Tran Thi Ngoc Bich, Cabin Crew Service Instructor; Nguyen Ha Linh, Team Leader – International Catering Services; and Todor Dzhilyanov, Station Manager – Frankfurt. So too were representatives of GIC International Catering, including Göksel Yildirim, Managing Director; Bongi Tshazi, Commercial Director; Michael Gies, Executive Chef; and Keerthi Hapugasdeniya, Asia Business Development Consultant.

“As a family business, I find GIC is easy to work with…It is ideal for a commercial but very attention-to-detail airline like Bamboo Airways to work with a very flexible caterer like GIC,” commented Keerthi Hapugasdeniya, the chef widely known as Happy K. “I am very happy to be part of this collaboration and hope that GIC can expand their services to more Asian airlines in the near future.”
GIC International Catering was founded in 2001 with the objective of delivering tailor-made products and services. The company is based in Kelserbach, adjacent to Frankfurt Airport, and has a presence in seven other German cities. In addition to Bamboo Airways, GIC’s client base includes Aegean Airlines, Air India and Sri Lankan Airlines.
