Angola’s national carrier partners with AirFi

TAAG Angola Airlines has entered a partnership with AirFi to deploy the latter’s portable streaming inflight entertainment (IFE) solution across its fleet of regional and long-haul aircraft.

The partners aim to enhance the digital journey for passengers on Angola’s national carrier by delivering inflight entertainment services which they can access using their own Wi-Fi-enabled devices.

This collaboration reflects TAAG’s commitment to ongoing digital transformation and creating exceptional passenger experiences.

TAAG Angola Airlines connects destinations across Africa, Europe, South America, the Caribbean and Asia through its Luanda hub.

The airline links 10 African destinations with key international markets, including Portugal, Brazil and China, facilitating business, tourism, trade and cultural exchange.

Leveraging Angola’s geographic position on Africa’s Atlantic coast, TAAG strengthens connectivity between Portuguese-speaking countries while providing efficient access to broader African, Asian and transatlantic networks.

The airline operates a fleet spanning regional, medium- and long-haul aircraft, including Airbus A220s, Boeing 737s, 777s and 787 Dreamliners. It also has De Havilland Canada Dash 8 turboprops. This makes the deployment exceptional in terms of the variety of aircraft outfitted with IFE over a short period.

Investment in Airbus A220-300s for intra-African routes and Boeing 787 Dreamliners for intercontinental services is helping TAAG Angola improve efficiency and passenger comfort. Its domestic network connects communities across Angola, supporting travel for families, businesses and visitors.

Laura Rösges, CEO of AirFi, commented: “We are proud to support TAAG Angola Airlines in enhancing its inflight offering. TAAG’s bold, future-focused approach is perfectly aligned with our mission to transform how passengers connect and engage in the air.”
