American Airlines refreshes inflight drinks, snacks and entertainment

American Airlines is continuing its inflight refresh during May with enhancements designed to “surprise and delight passengers”, including new onboard drinks, snacks and service tweaks.

LaCroix Limoncello is replacing LaCroix Lime. The new drink – citrusy and with a creamy twist – was voted in by American’s passengers and team members.

On select flights of over 1,300 miles, the Tostitos Snack Box will be available for $9 or 900 AAdvantage miles. The box holds a combination of Tostitos bite-sized rounds and Tostitos chunky salsa.

An afternoon tea experience will be available across all cabins on inbound flights from London and Paris. It is complete with a tea service and accompaniments that include finger sandwiches, scones, cream and jelly – or jam as it is known in the British Isles.

Bang and Olufsen headsets will be available to First and Business passengers on U.S. inbound Flagship service flights, Hawaii Flagship service flights and transcontinental Flagship service flights. The headsets must be left at seats when passengers deplane.

Also relating to inflight entertainment, American is adding original streaming content from  QVC+ and HSN+. That means passengers can watch lifestyle shows such as Busy This Week and Getting Grilled with Curtis Stone. Learning how to improve wardrobes and homes while travelling is possible by viewing LifeStyled.

Further enhancements to onboard services will be announced by American Airlines over the summer.
