American Airlines is enhancing its inflight food and drink offerings. Snack baskets featuring new products will become available this summer and tequila will be available on select flights.
From June 11, passengers in premium cabins will be able to enjoy a new midday snack basket. That’s in addition to the morning and afternoon snack baskets already offered by the airline.
The midday snack basket will include Tate’s Chocolate Chip Cookies, Garrett White Cheddar Popcorn, Cooper’s Cheese Straws, Cooper Street Granola Bakes, BobbySue’s Nuts’ Everything Goes Nuts, and Think Jerky Grass-Fed Beef Stick.
New offerings in the morning snack basket will include fresh clementines, B’cuz Cherry Pistachio Granola Bites, Think Jerky Free-Range Turkey Stick, Blake’s Seed-Based Breakfast Bar +Protein, Bare Organic Apple Chips and Wonderful Sea Salt and Pepper Pistachios.
Meanwhile, additions to the afternoon snack basket encompass Homefree Vanilla Mini Cookies, Miss Vickie’s Sea Salt Chips, Over Easy Almond and Raisins Oat Bar; CauliPuffs White Cheddar Corn, Rice and Cauliflower Puffed Snack, Wonderful Sea Salt and Pepper Pistachios, and Think Jerky Grass-Fed Beef Stick.
Main cabin passengers are getting new options through the expansion of American’s buy-on-board offerings on select flights from June 1.
Southern-style steak and pimento cheese sandwiches and Brooklyn Biltong Steakhouse Air Dried Beef Jerky are among the products that will be loaded. Passengers looking for something sharable and snackable may be tempted by the tray table tapas, featuring olives, dried apricots, beef jerky, pistachio, white cheddar dip, pita chips and brownie brittle.
The fruit and cheese tray, Tostitos Snack Box and Doritos Cool Ranch Minis will remain available to purchase during flights.
Buy-on-board options will become available on more flights, starting on mainline routes from 1,100 miles and upward. Alcoholic beverages will continue to be offered on flights of more than 250 miles.
The airline has selected Socorro Tequila from Dallas-Fort Worth. Using 100% Blue Weber agave and traditional methods, the tequila is made in the Jalisco highlands. It has a clean profile and delivers a premium flavour. The tequila will be aboard all American Airlines flights by the end of June.
