Sustainability and accessibility will be the two major themes at this year’s Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) 2025 being held from April 8-10 in the Hamburg Messe in Germany.
The three-day event is dedicated to aircraft cabin innovation and offers airlines and cabin interiors professionals a chance to “shape the cabin concepts of the future”.
For sustainability, attendees will be able to see circular economy principles in action, including products designed for recyclability and reuse. Sustainable materials will encompass seat fabrics, carpets, galley equipment and lavatory components.
Accessibility-focussed solutions will see adaptive seating systems, wheelchair securement devices and accessible lavatory designs on display. There will also be a spotlight on sensory accessibility, including tactile signage and audio descriptions.
A dedicated IFEC Zone will showcase the latest advancements in satellite connectivity, wireless streaming and personalised entertainment systems.
CabinSpace Live, the show’s dedicated conference programme, will home in on key trends and challenges facing the aircraft interiors industry.
Suppliers registered to attend the event include Yokohama Aerospace America (YAA), Changzhou Gas Spring Co, CesiumAstro, Airbus, Schott, Robert Hofmann GmbH and Fraunhofen IPK.
