Air India has achieved a series of milestones in its five-year transformation journey.
Passengers can now browse the web with the airline’s newly-launched Wi-Fi service. Connectivity is available onboard domestic and international flights operated by Airbus A350, Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and select Airbus A321neo aircraft.
The inflight entertainment (IFE) system Vista Stream can be enjoyed onboard Air India’s widebody and narrowbody aircraft, excluding the newly inducted Boeing 777 and Airbus 350 aircraft. Flyers can access entertainment across iOS, Android, Windows and macOs devices.
Passengers can find the Premium Economy experience on more than eighty aircraft deployed on domestic and international routes. Highlights include a dedicated cabin with extra legroom, enhanced meals and priority services on the ground. Refurbishment has also begun across 27 A320 aircraft, which is slated for completion in mid-2025.
The airline has presented a series of luxury amenity kits. Flyers in First class will receive a Ferragamo skincare kit with an Eau de Parfum, body lotion, hand cream and comfort essentials. Those in Business will find a similar selection sans the Eau de Parfum. Premium Economy passengers, meanwhile, can find lip balm from Swedish brand Verso, socks and an eye mask.
Air India is also the first Indian airline to operate an Airbus A350. The aircraft operates between Delhi and London Heathrow, New York (JFK) and Newark (EWR).
