Q.Tell us a little about the product, its background and how it came to market
A.Uppy! – the genius flyer rehydrates and replenishes your body ensuring you arrive in better shape after a long flight, be it for business or pleasure. The idea was developed having suffered the after affects of flying a lot in my life. The concept was then tested and developed by experts in the field.
Q.What do you think puts this product ahead of others in the same field?
A.It is the mixure of ingredients which sets it apart and how each component has a positive impact on the flyer . The fundimental property is a “real” rehydration formula topped with other vitamins, minerals, electrolytes and lots of ginger.
Q.What need or onboard trend does the product address?
A.The wellbeing trend. To take care of oneself and enable the passenger to make the most of their trip.
Q.What product trends/ airline demands will you be responding to next?
A. We have developed a new packaging alternative, instead of effervescent tablets in a tube we now offer Uppy in a powder format that then fits in a sachet – perfect for the amenity kit. We have also just added Uppy! – the genius energizer, which is the same product with added caffine, creating a healthy energy drink. It provides a much needed boost when arriving on a day flight.
Q.How will winning an Onboard Hospitality Award help your business?
A. It helps to create awarness of the product and opens up new markets. Airlines are starting to realise that Uppy is an affordable and easy way to treat and take care of both customers and cabin crew.
