Q.Tell us a little about the product, its background and how it came to market
A. Our Street Food Pastries combine three of my biggest loves, street food, travel and pastry.
Whilst travelling I came up with the idea to put these lovely street food dishes into pastry as an easy way to enjoy any time on the go.
Q.What do you think puts this product ahead of others in the same field?
A. Our product brings together that emotional connection between travel and food that a consumer can really relate to.
Our STR-EATS range is available in bite sized format to help with portion control. Ideal for sharing, these new and exciting street food flavours are encased inside boiled crust pastry to give a new bite texture in snack pastry.
Q.What need or onboard trend does the product address?
A. We are bringing the trend of street food to the sky with new exciting flavours in handy snack size and under 300 calories per pack. We plan to develop our range to cater to vegetarian, vegan and GF markets.
Q.How does your team develop or source new on-board products and ensure it stays ahead of the curve?
A. We travel the world looking for new ideas. We look to what locals are eating to understand the culture of the country and its relationship with food. We also follow trends are happening and search out sustainable products that we can add into the STR-EATS range.
Q.How will winning an Onboard Hospitality Award help your business?
A. Receiving this award from such a prestige industry body really recognises that we have a good product that can work in the travel sector and raises awareness of STR-EATS to future clients.
